Background Experience: Daniel Tuzzeo’s master’s thesis focuses on Dharma Drum Mountain’s integration of academic education with traditional Buddhist practice with the ultimate goal of social transformation. He has studied Dharma Drum for three years, including translating the founder’s written discourse on the need for education, and conducting ethnographic fieldwork at Dharma Drum in Taiwan, collecting data through interviews, questionnaires, and participant-observation.
