Tulane University’s Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life and Dear World

The “Garden Gallery” – a new gallery space ‪#‎TeamLBC‬ just installed in the Garden Level of the Lavin-Bernick Center (LBC) for University Life  – is currently displaying 8 images taken of students at the Dear World Live at Tulane on January 28th, 2016. The Dear World team visited campus to complete a portrait series and discussion on how who we are can be a powerful force to connect people and change the world.  Any student, staff, faculty, administrator, alum, and visitor was able to stop in at the open event to take their photo.

The day ended with a presentation by the Dear World team and a brief sharing from 6 students who were confident enough to talk about their story of being racially profiled, surviving sexual violence, thriving despite being an abandoned daughter from China, and more. Each image is a powerful message that each student and community member has for the world, i.e. their truth, and Tulane University  is PROUD to have these up for others to see and be inspired by.
